Singing Cadet Performance in Baton Rouge on January 10th

The Texas A&M Singing Cadets will perform in Baton Rouge on January 10th at 7:00 at the First Baptist Church of Baton Rouge.  The performance is free to attend, but donations will be accepted to go towards the Singing Cadets scholarship fund.  To learn more about the Singing Cadets please visit their website here.

We do need homes to house the Cadets for the one night they are in town.  All that is asked is to pick them up after the performance, provide dinner afterwards, a breakfast the following morning, and return them to the church.  If you can host a cadet, please email us at btraggieclub@gmail.com.

Places to grab a bite while you are in town

Izzo’s Illegal Burrito- – Build your own burrito, taco, or salad. Great food and generous portions.  Aggie owned and multiple locations in Baton Rouge. $

Bistro Byronz – Great menu.  Very New Orleans/Louisiana atmosphere.  Must get Bleu Cheese Chips.  $$

DiGulio Brothers – Small, quaint, casual restaurant, but worth the wait.  Favorite among locals for great Italian.  If it’s too long a wait check out Pinetta’s European Restaraunt across the street.  Don’t let the darkness scare you away.  $$

Galatoire’s Bistro – If you’re looking for something very New Orleans…also has a delightful prix fix lunch lunch menu.  Good happy hour with discounted appetizers and patio. $$$

Juban’s – By far one of the best fine dining restaraunts in the City.  Recommend going for their prix fix lunch menu.  Same ambience, same price, same service, but you’ll save lots of money!  If you order off the menu, Halleujah Crab.  Amen! $$$

Jolie Pearl – If you’re into oysters, this is a must stop Downtown.  Great atmosphere.  Fresh oysters from across the US.  Lots of flat screens and live music too. $$
